Life's Work/Service/Interests: On May 20, 1952, Jean married Kay E. Bills in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She raised five children which kept her involved with Cub Scouts, 4-H and many church and school activities. She had amazing skills of sewing, knitting, crocheting and tatting. Jean started working at an early age in the family-owned floral business. She had a great love of flowers and was a hard worker at any job she had. She also worked at Allen's Cleaners and Diamond Greenhouse. Jean was involved with several community groups: American Legion Auxiliary, Mapleton City Firemen's Auxiliary, Volunteer at UVRMC, Volunteer at the Mapleton City Senior Gym, Missionary for the Springville Bishops' Storehouse and Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Through all of these groups, Jean has met lots of friends that loved her. She had a wonderful set of friends with the Friends Forever Club, the Lunch Bunch, amazing neighbors and other friends throughout her life. Jean Stewart Bills, of Mapleton and Springville died Saturday, May 3, 2014. She finally has her wish... to go home! She was 80 years old.
Survived By: Her husband, Kay; four children: Gordon (Kathy) Bills, Brenda Bills, Kent Bills and Linda (Kirk) Phillips; eight grandchildren: Brad Bills, Jodi McCombs, Jason Bills, Brittany Bills, Kristoffer Bills, Nikki Bunker, MacKenzie Phillips and Jaymee Phillips; nine great grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Floyd Stewart, Jay Stewart, Ruth Beckstead, Howard Stewart, Juanita Strong, Curtis Stewart, Chris Chapple and Jimmy Stewart.
Preceded In Death By: Her parents; one son, Russell Bills; brother, Alan Stewart; sister, Dorothy Stewart; and sister, Delores Stewart. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews that loved her so much.
