Obituary
On September 17, 2021, Juanita Stewart Strong, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away in Spanish Fork, Utah. On February 11, 1944, she was born in St. George, Utah, to Floyd Lavar and Mary Curtis Stewart.

Juanita attended schools in Springville, Utah, and graduated from Springville High School in 1962. She has many friends from her school years that have remained close her entire life. Juanita cherished these friendships. She married Steven Charles Strong on June 4, 1965. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving many roles. Juanita retired from Central Bank in 2012, then spent her retirement years volunteering at Utah Valley Hospital in the gift shop and the NICU. She enjoyed her time volunteering and made many friends bringing sunshine everywhere she went. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the loves of her life, and she was always happy to say how proud she was of each of them. It was rare to see Juanita without her loyal pup Bear. He guarded and loved her until the very end.

Juanita enjoyed meeting new people and was never afraid to start a conversation. She considered everyone a friend. Though she had many trials this last year, she kept her spunky personality and a sense of fun and will be missed immensely.

We are sure she was greeted with open arms by those who preceded her. She will be dearly missed by all of those who loved and knew her.

Juanita is survived by her three children, Andrea (Jeff) Field, Spanish Fork; Wendy (Jeff) Swain, Spanish Fork; Brent Strong, Orem; siblings Howard (Cheryl) Stewart; Chris (Randy) Chapple; and James Stewart; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother; husband, Steven Strong, and her siblings Alan, Floyd, Jay, Jean, Ruth, Curtis, and son-in-law Brian Hansen.

We thank everyone who provided compassionate and professional care and the many friends and family who brightened her days with visits.

There will be a public viewing on Monday, September 27, at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville, from 6:00-8:00 PM.

An additional viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 28, from 9:30 -10:30 AM at Wheeler Mortuary, Springville, UT, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 AM at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery - 1997 South 400 East, Springville, Utah.
