Clementine Braun, 96, Victoria, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at St. John's Nursing Home, Victoria.

She was born Feb. 18, 1909, in Antonino to Peter P. and Mary (Klaus) Rohr.

She married Adam J. Braun on May 13, 1929, in Victoria. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1991.

She and her husband were caretakers of St. Fidelis Cemetery for 34 years. She was a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church and St. Fidelis Christian Mothers, both of Victoria.

Survivors include two sons, Alfred "Fritz" Braun and his wife, Anita, Victoria, and Robert Braun, Hays; four daughters, Rubina Ziegler and her husband, Leo, Hays, Juliana Urban and her husband, Paul, Victoria, Albertina "Tina" Geist, Victoria, and Charlene Unrein and her husband, Frank, Gorham; four brothers, Alfred "Fred" Rohr, Victoria, Nick Rohr, Gorham, Victor Rohr, Ellsworth, and Alvin Rohr, El Dorado; one sister, Clarita Braun, Victoria; 27 grand-children; 67 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert Rohr and Cyril Rohr, three sisters, Odilla Rohr, Agnes Gross and Philomena "Minnie" Braun; one infant brother, Nicholas Rohr; one son, Alvin Braun; one infant daughter, Rose Ann Braun; a grandchild, Donald Leiker; a great-granddaughter, Emma Caroline VonFeldt; two son-in-laws, William Geist and Wilbert Leiker; and one daughter-in-law, Shirley Braun.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church; burial in the church cemetery. Vigil service is at 7 p.m. Tuesday and a Christian Mothers and Daughters of Isabella rosary is at 7:30 p.m. at Cline's Mortuary, 412 Main, Victoria. Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to St. Fidelis Church or to offer Masses.
