23 year old son of John H. and Ollie Matthews Neal of Meadows. Raymond had been working for the State Highway and Public Works Commission for about seven years. He was survived by his parents, his wife, the former Virginia Bennett, two daughters, Barbara Ann and Gail Jeanette Neal. He also had five sisters, Lt. Annie Lou Neal of Ft. Jackson, SC, Mrs J. Reid Forrest, Jr., Misses Mary, Estelle and Allene Neal of Meadows. His funeral was held at Clear Springs Primitive Baptist Church.
