COLONEL RUSS' DAUGHTER DIES 11 LAST NIGHT
Mrs. Nettie Russ Jackson Succumbs in Sanitarium At Fort Worth, Texas
BODY WILL BE SENT TO RUSTON FOR LAST RITES.
Funeral At Home of Mrs. J. A. Jimmerson 4 P. M. Wednesday.
Mrs. J. A. Jimerson received a message this morning from Fort Worth, Texas, conveying the news of the death of her sister, Mrs. Nettie Russ [Jackson], aged 70, who passed away at 11 o'clock last night in the St. Joseph sanitarium in Fort Worth, after several months illness.
Mrs. Jackson, remembered best in Ruston as Miss Nettie Russ, was one of the six daughters of Col. Robert L. Russ, after whom the city of Ruston was named. She is survived by four daughters and one son: Mrs. D. C. Bolin, Fort Worth, Tex.; Mrs. George Anders, Biloxi, Miss.; Mrs. S. M. Cariet, Lafayette, La.; Miss Castle Jackson, Fort Worth, Tex.; W. W. Jackson, Jr., Fort Worth, Texas. And by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Dora Wright, Austin, Tex.; Mrs. Jessie Rudy, of Shreveport; Mrs. Mattie Covington and Mrs. J. A. Jimerson of Ruston; George Russ of Beaumont, Texas; Julius Russ of Monroe and C. R. Russ of Ruston.
The remains will arrive in Ruston Wednesday morning by railway and will be taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jimerson on North Trenton street, where a simple funeral ceremony will be held at four o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. W. J. Bolin of the First Baptist church will officiate.
Active pallbearers will be: Norman McDonald, Walter Wilder, B. P. Smith, J. W. Cheatwood, E. L. Teuton and Eddie Evans.
Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery under direction of McCook Funeral Parlors.
