Mrs. Vera Shirk of RR 1, Kingman, age 94, died Monday night, March 31, at her home. She was born east of Lodi, March 26, 1886, the daughter of Isaac and Sally Wann Cartwright. June 6, 1904, she married William A. Shirk, who died in 1963. Mrs. Shirk was a member of the Waterman Baptist Church at Lodi.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Nina Belle Pritchett of RR 1, Kingman; a son, Paul of Englewood, Florida; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) at Waterman Baptist Church with Rev. Dean Hartman and Rev. William Lehman officiating. Burial was in Silver Island Cemetery near Kingman. The Malcolm DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga was in charge of arrangements.
