SILVERWOOD, Ind., June 16. - Funeral services for Isaac N. Cartwright were held at the home, two miles east of town, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Robert Davidson, of Brazil, a former pastor of the Baptist church here. Mr. Cartwright died Saturday morning between 3 and 5 o'clock, he being dead when the wife went to his bedside at that time.

Isaac Cartwright was born in Orange county and came with his parents to Fountain county when a child of two years, where he lived till about fourteen years old, when his parents came to the farm, where he spent the remainder of his life. He was the last member of his father's family.

He was married to Sarah Wann in 1874. To this union were born four children, one dying in infancy, and one, Nina in girlhood. Two children, Wilbur Cartwright of Veedersburg, and Mrs. Vera Shirk, of Silverwood, with the widow survive; also three grandchildren and a foster daughter, Bertha Baker.

Mr. Cartwright was converted and joined the Presbyterian church at Howard under the patorate of Rev. D.C. Carnahan, several years ago, but for some time past attended the Baptist church at Waterman. He was a farmer all his life and was a kind, Christian man and a good neighbor and friend. He had been in very poor health for the past four years.

The following were called here by the death and funeral of Isaac Cartwright: Mr. and Mrs. William Cartwright and daughter Bessie, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cartwright and son, Miss Ethel Morgan, Mrs. Alice Birge, Mr. and Mrs. Bernal Wann, Mr. and Mrs. Hudson, all of Danville, Ill., Mrs. Jennie Gillus and son Lester and daughter Linda, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tibbett and daughter Gladys, of Kingman, and Mrs. Jessie Robinson and daughter Louise, of Brazil.
