Born in Burlington, VT on January 8, 1930, she was the daughter of Hector and Lydia (Courtois) Jodoin. After completing her elementary and secondary education in Burlington, she entered the Presentation of Mary Sisters in Hudson, NH on July 25, 1947.
Sister Lilliane pursued her education at Rivier College in Nashua, NH where she earned her B.A. in education. She also received her CCD Certificate from the Diocese of Portland, ME. Sr. Lilliane dedicated her life to teaching in various schools in Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts. Later after retiring from teaching, she volunteered at the Lazarus House in Lawrence and at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Home also in Lawrence, serving in the cafeteria for 7 years. Her loving and compassionate disposition touched the hearts of many; she will ever be remembered also as the "bicycle nun"
She is survived by 4 brothers. George, Richard, Laurent and Paul and three sister; Rita, Madeleine, and Laurette and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 2:00p.m. – 4:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the St. Claire Residence of the Presentation of Mary 209 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 2:30p.m. in the Chapel with burial to follow in the Presentation of Mary Cemetery also in Methuen.
