Fernand A. "Fred" Jodoin, 79, Bradenton, died Dec. 3, 2003. He was born Oct. 11, 1924, in Burlington, Vt., and came to Bradenton in 1953 from New York. He retired as a plumber from Tropicana. He was a member of VFW Post 2488 in Palmetto. He was an Army veteran of World War II and participated in the Normandy Invasion. He was a Catholic.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda McLean of Bradenton; a son, Ralph of Bradenton; sisters Lilliane and Theresa, both of Massachusetts and Rita, Laurette and Madeleine, all of Vermont; brothers George, Paul and Richard, all of Vermont; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be from 6-8pm today at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Mansion Chapel. The service will be at 11am Saturday at Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church, Bradenton. Burial will be in Mansion Memorial Park, Ellenton. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Florida, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL or the American Cancer Society, 600 US 301 Blvd. W., Suite 136, Bradenton, FL.
