BURLINGTON, VT. - Madeline Pauline (Jodoin) Letourneau, age 91, of Burlington, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 19th 2019 at the Ethan Allen Residence in Burlington, Vt.

She was born on June 18th 1928 in Burlington, Vt., she was the daughter of, J. Hector and Lydia Marie (Courtois) Jodoin.

She married Paul Bernard Letourneau on August 14th 1954 at the St. Anthony's Church in Burlington, Vermont. Together they celebrated 59 years of marriage and had four children; two sons and two daughters. He predeceased her on June 26th 2013.

Madeline is survived by her four children: Chuck & Susan Letourneau, Denise & Charlie Bergeron, Jim Letourneau & his companion, Phyllis and Emile & Don Baker.

Madeline lived most of her life in Vermont, but spent much of her early years in Canada and Massachusetts, of which she had many fond memories. When asked, Madeline would describe the best and most cherished time of her life as that of being a young mother.

Madeline was very artistic, creative and very skilled at crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed creating numerous lovely gifts for her family and grandchildren over the years. Madeline had a lifelong love of opera, reading extensively and doing crossword puzzles. She will also be remembered for her love of small animals, especially her sweet "grand-dog", Duncan.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers; Lawrence William Jodoin on June 7th 2001, Fernand "Fred" Adjuteur Jodoin on December 3rd 2003, Richard Dennis Jodoin on January 16th 2009, George Edward Jodoin on March 19th 2019, and Paul Henry Jodoin on June 20th 2019, and four sisters; Marie Alma "Louise" Louise (Jodoin) Trombley on September 8th 1982, Marguerite Theresa (Jodoin) LaPointe on October 13th 2005, Sr Lilliane Jodoin on June 30th 2012, and Laurette Elizabeth (Jodoin) Corbin on December 5th 2018.

Burial will follow at the New Mount Calvary Cemetery on Plattsburgh Avenue in Burlington, Vt.
