Mrs. Wood was born on February 09, 1902,in Cardiff City, Alabama, the daughter of Zolectus and Emily (Peek) Mann. She was reared and educated in Caviness, Texas. On October 02, 1918, she married Lawson L. Wood and they moved to the Maud area in 1929. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Her husband Lawson L. Wood; two sons Horace Eugene Wood and Harold D. Wood; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters previously died.
Surviving are one son, Theodore Jackson Wood, Maud; two daughters, Mary Rogers, Shawnee; Georgia Lane, Shawnee; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
