He was born July 23, 1912 in Montpelier to Thomas and Erma Smith Bruce.
He married Mary Jean Mead in Montpelier.
He was a member of the LDS Church. He served three years in the U.S. Army in World War II with the first group that entered Germany. He worked with CCC's prior to entering service. He enjoyed amateur rodeo when he was younger.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Nona Hoff, Georgetown; one brother, Raymond Bruce, Mackey, Id., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Matthews Mortuary Chapel. Viewing one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Montpelier Cemetery.
