Logan Hadley Stone, 88, Tuscumbia, formerly of Eldon, died Friday at Miller County Nursing Home, Tuscumbia. He was born Nov. 9, 1909, in Iberia, a son of Alfred and Maggie Mae Short Stone. He was married Sept. 15, 1928, to Eula Sarah Shepherd, who died March 6, 1993.
He retired from School of the Osage after teaching 42 years in public and many rural schools in Miller County. He was a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association and Ulman Christian Church.
Survivors include: one son, Glen Stone, state of Nebraska; two daughters, Mildred Eads, Jefferson City, and Margaret Morris, Columbia; one sister, Nita Patterson, Ulman; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rekus Funeral Home, Iberia. The Rev. Gene Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia.
