Amy N. Rowland: Petaluma area resident Amy N. Rowland died Wednesday after a long illness. She was 64. A native of Grand Mound, Wash., she moved to Sonoma County in 1960 and lived in Petaluma and Cotati. She worked as a licensed vocational nurse in many of the local rest homes and at the old Hillcrest Hospital. Mrs. Rowland was an active member of the Assembly of God Church in Rohnert Park. She enjoyed needle work and was an avid reader. She is survived by her husband, John Rowland of Cotati; and her five children, Stephen A. Paronto of Rio Nido; Rodrick R. Paronto of Rohnert Park; John Howard Rowland of San Diego; Robert Wayne Rowland of Santa Rosa; and Cindy Testa of Novato. She was the grandmother of nine. Mrs. Rowland was the sister of Clinton and Stephen Dotson of Olympia, Wash. She also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.ra Monday at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary, Magnolia Avenue and Keokuk StreeL Graveside services will be held at 11am Tuesday at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, 430 Magnolia Ave. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Rowland may be made to the Sonoma County Unit.
