He was employed with Massey Ford as Service Manager for 35 years, and was later employed with Mack Truck Inc. in the Engineering and Research Department, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, B.P.O. Elks 378 and the Alsatia Club.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Doris Jean Bussard; one daughter, Cindy Tedrick & husband, Brian, of Hagerstown; four sisters, Marianna Keeney of Camden, Del., Jane Rith & husband, Carl, of Hagerstown, Harriett Hahn & husband, Don, of Mercersburg, Pa., and Joy Leatherman & husband, Harold, of Myersville, Md.; one brother, Sam Bussard of Middletown, Md.; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Zier, brother Peck Bussard.
Services were held at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown; interment was in the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
