HARRY ELWOOD "Buss" BUSSARD, 84, of 347 Key Avenue, Hagerstown, passed away Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at the Julia Manor Health Care Center, Hagerstown. Born Tuesday, Dec. 4, 1923, in Middletown, Md., he was the son of the late Harry Leroy Bussard and the late Mildred Cynthia Shepley Bussard. He was also preceded in death by a loving stepmother, Anna Louise Bussard.

He was employed with Massey Ford as Service Manager for 35 years, and was later employed with Mack Truck Inc. in the Engineering and Research Department, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, B.P.O. Elks 378 and the Alsatia Club.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Doris Jean Bussard; one daughter, Cindy Tedrick & husband, Brian, of Hagerstown; four sisters, Marianna Keeney of Camden, Del., Jane Rith & husband, Carl, of Hagerstown, Harriett Hahn & husband, Don, of Mercersburg, Pa., and Joy Leatherman & husband, Harold, of Myersville, Md.; one brother, Sam Bussard of Middletown, Md.; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Zier, brother Peck Bussard.

Services were held at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown; interment was in the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
