Doris "Jeanne" Corkins, 82, went to be with her Lord Jesus, February 7, 2014 at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She's now in a glorified body and has a fully renewed mind. She was born October 11, 1931 in Hutchinson, the daughter of John A. and Verna A. Tope Jenkins. She was a loving mother and faithful and loving wife. She loved gardening and her pets.

She attended Hutchinson schools and was a member of Gospel Chapel.

On November 25, 1950 she married Darrell Leslie Corkins in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include five children, Phillip, Lecompton, Arnold, Warsaw, Missouri, Debbie Back, Wichita, Richard, South Hutchinson, Vicki Baker, South Hutchinson, a brother, John C. Jenkins, Windom, two sisters, Jacinta Davis, Lawrence, Shirley Jenkins, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Velma Marie Corkins.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Elliott Chapel with Michael Brown presiding. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery. Her register book will be available 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorial gifts may be made to Gospel Chapel in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
