Final rites will be held at 2:00
o'clock Wednesday afternoon at
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church near
Cadwell for Augustus L. Bond, 74,
who died early Tuesday morning
in a local hospital after being in
ill health for four years. Interment
will be in the Harrell Cemetery
with Adams Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements. Officiating
ministers will be the Rev D. G.
Lord, the Rev. J. B. Evans, and
the Rev W. G. Burnham,
Mr Bond was taken to the home
of his daughter, Mrs. Doweli Upshaw
this afternoon.
Mr. Bond was born and reared
in Gwinett County, son of the late
Lumpkin and Maddie Johnson
Bond. He was married to the late
Emma Giddens Bond, was a member
of Pleasant Hill Baptist
Church, and he was a farmer He
had lived near Cadwell for 23
years.
