Aaron Russell, 99, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died February 1, 2014 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born August 30, 1914 at Loy, Arkansas, the son of John Riley and Lillie Carter Russell. He was a farmer and had lived most of his life in Madison County. He was of the Pentecostal faith, a musician and loved Christian hymns. He played Banjo, Fiddle and could sing both high and low notes. He also enjoyed raising cattle, being out of doors, talking on the telephone and just talking to everyone. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years, Frances Elizabeth Russell, whom he married on March 5, 1941 and who preceded him in death on December 20, 1994. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Theodore Russell, Paul Russell, Steve Russell and James Russell; and three sisters, Mary Russell, Daisy Swearengin, and Lillie Mae Philo

Survivors include: four children: Sampson Russell; Lillie Catherine Russell (name changed to Cae Cordell); Ruth Russell Tondreau; and Ezra Russell; one brother, John Russell; two sisters, Nancy Reynolds and Sammie Elizabeth Russell; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, February 5, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Reverend Willie Foster officiating. Private interment was in the Venus Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville, Arkansas.
