Madison County Record, 24 July 2014:
John Moses Russell, 97, died July 9, 2014 at Huntsville, Arkansas. He was born August 14, 1916 at Loy, Arkansas, the son of John Riley and Lillie Carter Russell. He was a farmer and a logger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Jewell Steele Russell whom he married on November 30, 1946 and who preceded him in death on January 26, 2002. He was also preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Wayne Ferguson; five brothers, Theodore Russell, Paul Russell, Aaron Russell, James Russell and his twin brother, Steve Russell and by three sisters, Mary Russell, Daisy Swearengin and Lillie Mae Philo.

Survivors include: four children, Paul Herbert Russell of Witter, Arkansas, Sandra Mae Bell of Warsaw, Missouri, John David Russell of Huntsville, Arkansas and Joseph Dale Russell of Kingston, Arkansas; two sisters, Nancy Reynolds and Sammie Elizabeth Russell; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P. M. Sunday, July 27, at the Living Springs Community Building at Loy with interment at 4:00 P. M. in the Mount Olive Cemetery near Kingston. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
