Edward S. Anderson, 75, of Adams, Minn. was born March 18, 1910 in Adams Township. He was the son of Peter A. and Mattie Anderson and a lifelong resident of the Adams Area.

He graduated from Adams High School. On Nov. 21, 1953, he married Mary Ann Mueller at Queen of Angels Church, Austin, Minn.

Since 1932, he worked at the Anderson Hardware Store, became part-owner and finally, sole owner. He retired in 1976. From 1942-1945, he spent 2-1/2 years in the Army Air Force as an instructor in sheetmetal.

He was a member of Little Cedar Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 146 and was a retired volunteer fireman.

Mr. Anderson died Feb. 10, 1986, at Stacyville Nursing Home, Stacyville, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, one son, Gary of Austin, one sister, Mrs. Jessie Johnson, Pierre, S. D., one brother, Merrill of Minneapolis, nieces, nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Oscar, Ernest, Arthur, Leonard.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 13, 1986, at Little Cedar Lutheran Church, Rev. Allen Gunderson officiating. Walter Osterholt was soloist and Charlotte Anderson, Organist.

Pallbearers were Maurice Halverson, Olaf Johnson, Michael Rauen, Robert Osmundson, Donald Larson, Herbert (Peewee) Landherr. The Adams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
