He was born in Marshall Township on April 10, 1902, the son of Peter A. and Mattie Anderson.

He graduated from Adams high School in 1922. Upon graduation from South Dakota State College he became a druggist and practiced in Gary, South Dakota, Austin and Albert Lea. In 1928 he became associated with the City Drug in Red Wing, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his father, P. A. Anderson and a brother Leonard.

Surviving are his mother, Mattie Anderson, Stacyville Nursing Home, one sister Mrs. H.A. (Jessie) Johnson, Webster, South Dakota and four brothers, Merrill of Minneapolis, Oscar, Ernest and Edward Anderson of Adams, Minnesota.
