Kentuckian Dies on Visit

Jack B. Salyers, 78, died at General hospital Sunday noon after an illness of several weeks.

Mr. Saylers, a resident of Louisa, Ky., was visiting his children here when he became ill. He was born in Johnson county, Ky., on May 12, 1871.

Surviving are file sons, Hobart, Sherman, John, Albert and Richard: two daughters, Mrs. [Martha Ann ] John Fife and Mrs. [Nolda Minnie ] Michael Ziway, all of Mansfield.

The body will be taken to Louisa [Ky.] for services and burial on Wednesday. Arrangements are in charge of the Jones Memorial.

[Jack was the son of Levi Frances and Martha Ann "Ferguson" Salyers. He married Mary Etta Fyffe about 1902. He was preceded in death by two children, Edward Dexter Saylers and Ollie M. "Saylers" Chambers.]
