Mrs. Florence E Anderson, 72, of 1717 25th St. Rock Island, a former school teacher, died Thursday in the Americana Nursing Center, Moline, after an extended illness.
Services will be Mon in the Knox-Larson Chapel. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park....Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Anderson taught at Black Hawk School from 1957-1962. She previously taught in Bloomington, Illinois schools.
Florence Bladel was born in Rock Island. She married William A Anderson in 1921 in Kansas City, Mo. He died in 1956.
Mrs. Anderson was a graduate of Augustana College, Rock Island. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn A. Kuhn with whom she resided; two grandsons, a great-grand daughter; sisters, Miss Bessie Bladel and Mrs. Herman Willer, both of Rock Island and brothers, Richard Bladel, Rock Island, and Harold Bladel, Garden City, NY.
