A brother-in-law of four Rock Island residents and the husband of a former Rock Island resident, Mr. Anderson died yesterday while he was visiting his daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Kuhn, in Berwyn.
For the past 20 years, he had been principal of Brent Junior High School in Bloomington.
He was the husband of the former Florence Bladel of Rock Island. He was the brother-in-law of Miss Bessie Bladel, Mrs. Herman Willer and Frank and Richard Bladel, all of Rock Island.
Mr. Anderson was born June 12, 1896. He spent his early life in Marinette, Wis. He graduated from Augustana College in 1920. When he attended Augustana, he was active in sports and was a member of the Tribe of Vikings. He married Miss Bladel in 1921.
In addition to the widow and daughter, Mr. Anderson is survived by two grandson, two sisters and a brother.
Services will be conducted in Bloomington tomorrow before the body is brought to Rock Island.
