She was born to James Calvin and Mary Elizabeth Parsons Earl

She was their third born child and 2nd daughter. They had nine children. Her siblings are; Amanda Ellen, James Calvin, Louisa Ann, Mary Elizabeth, Cyrus Hibbart Wheelock, Sylvester Henry, Minervia, and Rosetta Earl.


She married Elijah Cutler Behunin 22 Mar 1868 in Rockville, Washington, Utah


Together they had the following 14 children; Elijah James, William Calvin, Hyrum (Hite) Smith, Mary Jane (Johnson, Cooper), Amanda Monettie (Noyes), Isaac Martin, Earl Farlan, Herbert Bertman, Leonard, Ira Mason (Behunin) Buchanan, Delilah May (Thompson, Hancock), Leon C, and Nellie Tabitha Behunin (Cannon).

Wayne County - Torrey Pioneer Passes Away


Funeral services were held in Torrey for Mrs. Tobitha Jane Behunin, 81, who died at her home in Torrey Sunday morning.


Mrs. Behunin was born at Springville July 23, 1853, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Parsons Earl. She is the wife of the late Elijah Cuttler Behunin, who was killed in an automobile accident November 8, 1933. She had lived at Torrey since 1903.


The following sons and daughters survive: Hiat Behunin, Beaver; Earl Behunin, Torrey; Leon and Albert Behunin, Gunnison; Mrs. Nettie Noyes and Mrs. Nelson Cannon, Torrey; Mrs. Lila Thompson, Richfield and Ira Behunin, Salt Lake.


Interment was in the Torrey cemetery.
