MARY GREEN ADAMS
LAYTON – Mrs. Mary Ann Green Adams, 83, of Layton, died Wednesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. A. Gorin Steed of Brigham City, of natural causes.

Mrs. Adams was born Dec. 27, 1883, n Kaysville, a daughter of John Alma and Sarah Hannah Beazer Green.

She was married to George Henry Adams Feb. 19, 1902, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died June 13, 1947.

She had spent most of her life in Layton moving to Brigham City two years ago.
She was a member of the Clearfield 2nd Ward and had been a Relief society visiting teacher in Clearfield and Layton. She had also been a temple worker.

Surviving are six sons, four daughters, Earl Adams, Hazelton, Idaho; Waynard H. Adams, Darold Adams, both of Clearfield; Allen Adams, West Layton; Harold Adams, Salt Lake City; George Max Adams, Ogden; Mrs. Arvel L (Ila) Child, Quincy, Wash.; Mrs. Edward H. (Dorthea) Fowler and Mrs. Orson A. (Beatrice) Winward, both of Ogden; Mrs. A. Gorin (Mary) Steed, Brigham City; 50 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Also surviving are three brothers, one sister, Carl B. Green, Sunset; Ralph B, Green and Alma Z. Green, both of Clearfield; Mrs. Ray (Clara) Draper, Salt Lake City.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Clearfield Stake House, 935 S. State, with Bishop O. Merrill Clark of the Clearfield 2nd Ward officiating.

Friend may call at the Lindquist’s Clearfield Mortuary Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment will be n the Kaysville-Layton Memorial Park
