MRS. ALEXANDER MacSWEEN
A well-known and highly respected resident of Kincardine, Mrs. Alexander MacSween, Durham Street West passed away at the Owen Sound General and Marine Hospital on Friday, December 4 aster an illness of two week's duration.
The deceased, who was born in Kincardine Township on September 3, 1882, was a daughter of George Liddicoat and Ann Rawling. On November 4, 1903, she was united in marriage to the later Alexander MacSween of Glamis.
She leaves to mourn her passing the following sons and daughters: Roy MacSween, Wingham; John MacSween, Huntsville; Rev. Creba MacSween, Hamilton Bermuda; Kenneth MacSween, Oakville; Mrs Peter (Mary) MacLeod, Wingham; Mrs. Arthur (Ruby) Burrows, Walkerton; Mrs. William (Murdena) MacDonald, Mrs. Archie (Annie) Sinclair, Mrs. Jack (Catherine) MacDonald and Mrs Terence (Betty) O'Brien, all of Kincardine. Also surviving is a brother, Mr. Ernest Liddicoat, of Neilburg, Saskatchewan. To those bereaved the sincere sympathy of their many friends is extended.
Funeral services for the late Mrs MacSween were held on Monday December 7, at the Linklater Funeral Home and were conducted by the Rev. Fred H. Cromey, minister of Knox Presbyterian Church, of which the deceased was a member.
Interment was made in Kincardine Cemetery, the casket bearers being John McFadyen, John Stone, Morrie Mahood, Ward Walker, William Irwin and Neil Haines. Flower bearers were Barry, Billy, Maria and Gary MacSween, Terry O'Brien and Cathy Sinclair, grandchildren of the deceased.
