Leslie "Lucky" Rafferty, 70,
of 1007 North St., died at 7:52
p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Hospital.
Death was attributed to
an apparent heart attack.
A retired engineer with the
Pennsylvania Railroad, he was
born Sept. 10, 1898, in Montgomery
County, the son of Ora
and Martha Hauk Rafferty.
A veteran-of World War n,
he was a member of the Elm
Dale Methodist Church, the
American Legion, Eagles Lodge
and the Masonic Lodge of Richmond.
On Sept. 17,1942, he was married to
Lucille Grady, who survives.
Also surviving are two brothers,
Clarence of Crawfordsville, and Kenneth,
of Waveland; two sisters, Mrs. Helen
Harden, and Mrs. Emma Brennan, both of
Crawfordsville, and
several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, Lester, Charles
and Harry, preceded him in
death.
Funeral services will be at
1 p.m. Monday at the Kroeger
Funeral Home, Burial will be
in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home.
Eagles Lodge will
have services there at 7:30 p.m
today.
