Helen Elizabeth Maher, 95 of Monroe City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Hannibal Regional Hospital, Hannibal, Missouri. She was born November 24, 1917 in Monroe City, Missouri the daughter of Adolph and Anna Montgomery Adam. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Monroe City, Missouri. She graduated from St. Stephens High, Indian Creek, Missouri. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed spending time at the Monroe City Nutrition Center visiting with her friends. Helen also enjoyed reading books when she had time. She married Joseph Maher May 24, 1941, he preceded her in death June 5, 1985. Survivors include three Sons, Three Daughters,Two Brothers,15 Grandchildren, 25 Grandchildren, Numerous Nieces, Nephews, one brother in law, and two sister in laws. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, five Brothers: John Paul, Howard, Melvin Adam and two infant children. Three sisters Margaret Yager, Lucille Thomas and Theresa Hall. One son in law Larry Kendrick. Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be held 10:00 am Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Monroe City, Missouri, burial will be from the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Monroe City.
