Nathalee G. Comer

Mrs. Nathalee Garner Comer, age 87, widow of Jesse Gilbert Comer, formerly of 407 South Boyce St.,Union, SC., went to be with the Lord, Friday, December 13, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Hendersonville, NC.
Mrs. Comer was born in Union, SC., February 13, 1926, a daughter of the late Davis Roy and Bessie Adams Garner. She was a graduate of Kelly Pickney High School and retired from the Milliken Company after over 30 years of service. Mrs. Comer was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and loved her family. She also loved the study of genealogy and was proud of her Pea Ridge roots.
Surviving are two sons: Leonard Comer and wife, Gayle of Simpsonville, and Carroll Comer of Columbia; two sisters: Betty Harvey of Jonesville and Patsy Garner of Columbia; a dearly loved granddaughter and grandson: Elizabeth Johns and husband Steve of Fountain Inn and James Comer and wife Lindsey of Iowa; four great-grandchildren and numerous Nieces and nephews. Mrs. Comer was predeceased by four sisters and five brothers: Thelma Thrasher, Margaret Howell, Lou Jean Knox and Joyce Blakely, Everette Garner, Leonard Garner, Wilbur Garner, Donald Garner and Hershel Garner.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2013 at Mt. Joy Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Robert Chapman.
Visitation will follow immediately after the graveside service.
