Edinburg Man Dies Suddenly
Christopher Gourley Is Victim of Attack
Edinburg - Christopher (Pete) Gourley was found dead in the garden at his home here by members of his family, Thursday morning at 11:30 o'clock. He had been spading and suffered a heart attack.
The body was taken to the Mutz Funeral Home and arrangements for the services will be announced Friday.
The son of Christopher and Mary Ann True Gourley, he was born in Johnson County Oct 14, 1884. He was retired.
On Nov 24, 1901, Mr. Gourley was married to Ida E. Cordray and they were the parents of two sons. He was a member of the old Pisgah Christian Church.
Surviving with the widow are the sons, Raymond Gourley, of Michigan City, and Dr. Paul Gourley, of Fayette, Iowa.
Others remaining are five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Mattie Simpson, of Indianapolis; and two brothers, Lawrence Gourley, of Kokomo, and George Gourley, of Anderson.
