========================================
Paul Heistand, son of Joseph and Ida Wolfe, was born June 23, 1901. He was 16 years, 4 months and 22 days old.

On Nov. 15, 1917, an angel smiled and he slept.

When the spirit of a fine, clean young boy passes out -from one door and thru another - we grieve when we hold a deep affection for that boy. Paul is dead and in the death of Paul our community has lost a fine type of honest, clean young manhood. This boy, although delicate physically was much above the average. Paul loved books and flowers - I was often astonished at the information he had on many subjects. I always called Paul a little gentleman, for he was; intuitively he seemed to know how to act, how to speak - and I do not believe he ever had an unclean thought.

It seems strange that the family, the friends must lose so fine a boy - that so sweet a character must feel the kiss that closed the eyelids still. These things we cannot understand, but death comes and no platitudes can ease the heart throbs when we look upon the closed casket. We are all like little children - we must at such times have Faith. D

eath possesses a wonderful ministry. Too much like little children we say of death, "It is dark outside of the door." But there was a good friend who come to us once and stayed among us and wore a crown of thorns and who said: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your hearts be troubled - it is not dark outside of the door. In my Father's house are many mansions, this is one of them and there is another - God is here, and God is there. Lo, I am with you even unto the end." Dear little Paul is with God.
