Bio

A grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, who each spent most of their lives in southern Ohio, passed down a large amount of hand-written family history, photographs and even some diaries. That got me started on genealogy. The advent of online resources allowed me to expand on the material and become the current family historian.

More recently I have been looking into local (Ann Arbor, MI) history where it concerns headstone photos I have taken and posted. I also do U.S. Civil War research on various veterans, many buried in Vicksburg National Cemetery.

Although many of my memorials are relatives, they aren't necessarily that close; if you think you have a closer family connection and want a transfer, just send me a note and we'll see.

If you have information on a particular memorial, please let me know, instead of simply including it on a virtual flower. There is a good chance I can research and learn more about an individual if it is brought to my attention; something that won't happen with virtual flowers alone, as there is no automated notification system.
