Daughter of Aaron Stratton, 1807 KY - 1874 OH and his second wife Matilda Hill (Rice?? see her memorial), 1830 OH - 1905 OH (Aaron was likewise the second husband of Matilda).

As of Jan 2017, the burial location of Aaron is unknown in findagrave. However the memorial for his older brother Lewis Stratton contains a list of their siblings as well as brief notes for their parents and grandparents.

The 1840 Federal census for Aaron lists 2 males under 5 and 2 males age 5 to 9 (plus daughter Catherine). Thus there is an unknown son born before about 1835 and another between 1835 and 1840.

Personal family history includes a son named Colfax, perhaps born between John and Lewis, who may account for the youngest 'missing' male.

Final note on Matilda Hill - the 1900 Federal census lists her as the mother of 9 children with 6 still alive. IF correct then 1 birth and 1 still alive in 1900 are missing from the above list. Both James Archer and Rachel had died by then leaving us to conclude that either George Archer survived well into adulthood and the unknown child died before getting to a census OR George died young and the unknown child lived for quite some time yet never appeared on a census with Matilda. The former possibility seems more likely.
