Dies at Home
Funeral services for Peter Kruse, 82, of 1003 W. Macqueen Ave.,who died at his home at 12:15 a.m. Monday, will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Clugsten Memorial Home.
The Rev.E.L.Fernandes of Arcadia Avenue Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the memorial home after 4 p.m. today.
Mr. Kruse farmed for many years in the Brimfield community before he retired. He was born in Limestone Township, May 31, 1875,a son of Hero and Gretje Lauterbach Kruse. He married Emily Partridge at St. Peter's Lutheran Church near Hanna City in 1904. After her death in 1947 he came here to make his home with a daughter, Mrs. Carol Garrett. He was a member of the Arcadia Presbyterran Church.
Surviving are one son Delmar Kruse of Pekin; two daughters Mrs. Garrett and Mrs. Bertha Ludwig of Minneapolis, Minn;one sister Mrs. Edward Riekena of Mapleton; two brothers, Harry Kruse of Lakefield, Minn.; and Edward Kruse of Bartonville; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
