Michael Hogan Died Here On Sunday
The Deceased Came To This County From Kentucky In 1870
Following an illness that extended over a period of more than two years, Michael Hogan died at his home near here at 8:30 Sunday evening, September 30th. He was born on May 18th, 1856, in Covington, KY., and in 1870 came with his parents, Patrick and Ellen Hogan, to this county where he has resided since that time. During his lifetime he followed the occupation of farming.
The funeral services were conducted from St. Ann's Catholic Church Tuesday morning at 8:30, Father Parkinson officiating and the remains were laid to rest in the Janesville Catholic cemetery. The pallbearers were J. J. Cahill, Florence Cahill, T. F. Foley, M. W. Keeley, Tom Eustice and Terrence McBride.
He is survived by two brothers, J. J. and John, both of this community. His brothers, James and Dennis, preceded him in death. Dr. and Mrs. Dennis Hogan of Faribault, a nephew, Mrs. J. F. Sullivan, a cousin, also of Faribault, Miss Agnes Ford of Corcoran, Mrs. John and Mrs. Dennis Donovan of Waseca, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Keogh of LeSueur Center and Patrick Mulcahy and son Andrew and Cornelius of Waterville were here to attend the funeral.
The many friends in this community join with the Argus in extending to those who are left to mourn his passing their sincere sympathy.
