DEATH SUMMONS FOR TOM ST.JOHN
Manchester, Tenn.(1944)
Tom St. John, 47, a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion and former school teacher in the public schools of Tenn. died at his home in Murfreesboro ( Tenn.) Tuesday Morning and was buried at Shady Grove Thursday following Services at the Manchester Church of Christ conducted by Elders W. P. Willis and J. T. Casey. Mr. St. John had been an attendant at the veteran Hospital in Murfreesboro for the past 4 years. He was stricken Sat. Night with a pain in his side which affected his breathing seriously, but he was not alarmed over his condition. When the window shade by his bed was raised Tuesday morning he looked out and remarked "It looks like a gloomy day". In a few minutes his wife went to his bed side and found him dead. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Surviving Mr. St. John are is widow and 1 daughter, Jestine and the following brothers and sisters: Delter St. John, Mrs. John Prater, Mrs. H. B. Ramsey and Mrs. Tom Brown all of Coffee County. (TENN.) Robert St. John of Detroit, Mich. Mrs. Roy Newby, Miss Mamie St. John, Charl St. John and Goodloe St. John all of McMinnville.( TENN.)
