Daughter of Philip Newcamp and Louisa Haines, who are buried in St. Stephen's Methodist Episcopal Burying Ground in Lower Germantown between Bringhurst and Ashmead Streets. Adeline's father was a dyer for the textile industry, for several years on 22nd and Callowhill. He later moved to Germantown, near Abraham and his brother's family. Adeline and her husband Abraham Selsor lived all their married life at various addresses in Germantown, following Abraham's work as a machinist/engineer, and raised a numerous family.
