Wife of Philip Newcamp, a dyer at 22nd and Callowhill Streets in Philadelphia, until 1863 when they moved back to Germantown, where Philip died in 1866. In the 1870 Census, Louisa is listed as a "domestic servant", age 70, in the household of Henry Platt McKean, a wealthy importer, at Fernhill, his spacious estate in west Germantown. On August 10, 1879, Louisa died of "cholera morbus" at 51 Wister Street in Germantown and was buried in St. Stephen's with Philip. Through the marriage of their daughter Adeline Newcamp to Abraham B. Selsor, Philip and Louisa were related to the Selsors and Ridgways who are also buried in St. Stephen's.
