Mahaly Ferrand Eason was the wife of Reddick Eason, Sr and was the daughter of Richard and Maria Ferrand from Pleasant Grove,(Western Branch)Norfolk County, VA. She was the mother of Annie L. Eason Miller, Columbus Eason, Katie E. Eason Langston Bogan, Ruth V. Eason Sawyer Sharpe, Reddick Eason, Jr and Charles Henry Eason. She lost a daughter as a toddler on June 12,1883, named Arbari Eason, age 1. Mahala died June 1,1894 in her home at 1338 County Street, Portsmouth, Virginia from breast cancer at the age of 47. She is believed to be buried to the right of Reddick's grave, with a slab on her grave. The headstone was broken off and appears to be missing, with just a remnant of what may have been a marker or headstone.
