"SIMS, David C., Member of Co G 8th Reg Ind Vol in the service of the U.S., d. Jan 15, 1863 34y 6m 6d."
Wife: Susan J. Lehman, whom he married 13 Feb 1859 in Clinton Co, IN. They had one son who died "in youth," and Susan married (2nd) Milton Hanson.
