** In Loving Memory of Pearl **

Pearl is loved, missed and will be remembered in our hearts forever. Pearl was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, God Mother, Best Friend and so much more. Pearl passed away peacefully in her sleep at her apt in Osceola WI. It was unexpected as she had overcome many medical issues previously and appeared healthy. Pearl talked much about feeling blessed that she had a long

life. Just months before she passed away this writer had the honor to spend time with

Pearl talking about her life and family history. She always shared Family history with Family

and was an excellent Family historian. She was working toward planning her

next bus trip to her favorite vacation place Branson Missouri and attend the

many Country Music events there. Pearl was active in her new Senior

apartments and had many friends. She spent time with her friends at her building.

She looked out for her "elderly" friends making sure they got their groceries, etc.

Pearl was a strong woman of Faith. Pearl talked about Thanking God for

her life and many blessings. Knowing Pearl was a blessing in the

lives of all who loved her or knew her. Pearl graciously overcame some

hard times during her life. Pearl had overcome some major medical

issues including cancer that was life threatening. Pearl was being treated for

some new skin cancer spots on her face when she passed away that were early

stage and her doctor had treated her. She had previously undergone chemotherapy.

She lost her hair during her chemo, thus the pictures of her with hats. Her hair

grew back. She was planning for more trips.

Pearl was proud of her children and grandchildren. She loved her Family and Friends. She had a big heart, was great listener and always there to help anyone who needed her. Pearl was that favorite aunt, sister that everyone desires, best mom, grandmother, godmother, best friend and so much more. Pearl was a pleasure to spend time with. She loved her country western music, travel - especially tour bus trips to Branson, reading & romance novels, sewing, crafts, but most of all Pearl loved of all her family and friends. Pearl is survived by her children, grandchildren, siblings, nephews, nieces, many relatives and friends who loved her. We will cherish our fond memories of Pearl forever.

Pearl grew up in S. Mpls MN. Pearl lived with her Parents, three sisters and one brother.

Pearl attended South High. Pearl and Victor both had relatives in Mpls MN. Pearl met

Victor in Mpls MN. Pearl later moved to Wisconsin with her husband Victor and

their children. Pearl married Victor in 1945 in Centuria Polk Co. Wisconsin.

Victor grew up in Centuria Wisconsin. Pearl and Victor lived in S. Mpls MN

for a while. They lived near her family and Victor's Siblings in S. Mpls MN. They

moved to Centuria Polk Co. Wisconsin and lived there area many years. Victor had

relatives in Polk Co. Wisconsin. Their older Wisconsin home was once a

rural Post Office. Their neighbors home was once a school house. They lived down

the road from Victors Mother Theresa (Tressie) Peach Hopkins and Victor's

Step Dad who raised him, Roy Hopkins. Victor's Father died when Victor was

a baby. They spent much time with many of Victors Family. They lived down

the road from the St. Johns Cemetery. Their home was in a remote area

out in the country near many farms. Pearl was always a gracious hostess.

She welcomed Family to stay with their Family who traveled from

"Twin Cities" or elsewhere. There were always welcome guests in her

home. Pearl was a "social butterfly"and a delight to spend time with.

Nephews, nieces and her children's friends, other relatives always

felt welcomed by Pearl. Pearl was great with children and always

made you feel special. Pearl was that special person who was a gracious

hostess and always made sure the children were ok and enjoying

themselves too. She cooked meals, shared her music, spent quality

time including reading with children. And playing her Country

Western Music. She also loved to read romance novels. Pearl and

Victor Moore often had a house full of visitors. Family, Friends,

her children's friends were always welcome in Pearls home. Pearl's

kindness is forever remembered by all who knew her. There was a small

cemetery next to their house and a Lutheran Church across the

road. Pearl and Victor divorced but remained very good friends the rest

of their lives. They continued to be together at family gatherings. Victor

attended funerals and family gatherings, events with Pearls Family. Pearl attended

funerals , family gatherings .Graduations, weddings, birthdays, etc. with Victors Family. They loved each other very much. Pearl remained close to

Victors family. They were together for their children's events and gatherings ,

other family events that their children may not have attended.

Pearl re married to Clarence Burton in 1979 in Balsam Lake Wisconsin.

Clarence was a kind, nice man. Pearl remained part of Victor's Family.

Pearl and Clarence lived in Luck Wisconsin. Clarence preceded

her in death. Pearl had many careers throughout her life.

Pearl worked hard all her life. She was a working Mom. She was active

in her community and her children's lives. She worked in Nursing Homes,

factories, other jobs. Up until just years before Pearl passed away,

as a Senior Citizen, she worked at Walmart in St. Croix Falls Wisconsin.

Just up until Pearl passed away she was active with other Seniors in her apt...

making sure other seniors had a way to get their groceries in her new- used van... gathering for events, attending flea markets. For a short time when her car needed many repairs she gave up her vehicle... She was too independent to not have her

own transportation and was so proud of her van... She gave up her house

in later years to move to an apt.. She made the best of apt living and enjoyed it because she was so active with friends in her building. She was social with

many of her neighbors. Pearl remained living in Wisconsin the rest of her life.

Pearl's Celebration of Life Services were held Aug. 24 2013 at the

Fristad Lutheran Church in Centuria Wisconsin. Many of Pearl's Family and

Friends gathered to honor Pearl's Memory and her Life. She was loved by many.

Burton Dec. 29, 1979 in Balsam Lake Wisconsin and they resided in Luck Wisconsin.

and photo were hung up at Walmart Employees lounge in St. Croix

when this writer stopped by Walmart on the way to her Memorial Services.

Pearl was preceded in death by her Children's Father Victor Moore, her parents Lloyd and Alma Jacobson of Cambridge MN and her second Husband Clarence Burton. Pearl is laid to rest with her beloved late Husband Clarence at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Pearl and Clarence are laid to rest in the area of the Cemetery very near to

the smaller Twin Cities airport.
