Mr. Elliott was born Feb. 13, 1909, a son of James E. and Eva Hahn Elliott. He had been a lifelong resident of the community.
He married Evelyn Gritton Aug. 28, 1937, at Muscatine.
Mr. Elliott was a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge and the Muscatine Power Boat club.
Surviving are his widow; a son, Thomas E. Elliott, at home; three daughtes, Mrs. Kenneth Carpenter of Muscatine; Mrs. Jerry Musgrove of Moline; and Miss Barbara Elliott, at home; a brother, John E. Elliott of Muscatine; and five sisters, Mrs. George Schaefer of Largo, Fla., Mrs. E. J. Leswig, Mrs. T. O. McBride, Mrs. Erich Pagel, and Mrs. DeWayne Storms, all of Muscatine. There are four grandchildren. His parents and a sister preceded him in death.
