died at her home at 1:10 p.m.
Monday after a long illness.
A daughter of James Edwin and Eva
Mae Hahn Elliott, she was born
May 8, 1919 in Muscatine where she
had been a life resident.
The former Ruth Elliott married
D. Erich Pagel, Oct. 7,1947 in
Illinois. She was a member of the
Otterbein United Methodist church.
At one time Mrs. Pagel had worked
at the Hershey Avenue Maid-Rite.
Survivors are her husband,Erich
Pagel; two step-sons, Harold
Pagel, Wilton and Kenneth Pagel,
Denver, Colo.; one brother, John
W. Elliott, Muscatine; four
sisters, Mrs. George (Laura)
Schaefer, Seminole, Fla., Mrs.
Edmund (Jeannette)Leswig, Lisle,
I11., Mrs. Oliver (Mary) McBride,
and Mrs.DeWayne (Helen) Storms,
both of Muscatine; five step-
grandchildren and one step-great-
grandson.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at
2 p.m. Thursday at the Riley
Funeral home. Rev. J. Paul Stevens
will officiate. Burial will be in
Greenwood cemetery.
The body is at the Riley Funeral
home where friends may call.
