William H. Williams was born in Perryville, Boyle County, Kentucky, March 7, 1838. He came to Wisconsin when a child and lived in the vicinity of Darlington every since. He was married to Miss Dorcas Sparrow in 1866. To them were borne ten children, two of whom are gone before. His wife preceded him to the other world twelve years ago.
Mr. Williams died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earl Batchelor, in Rockford, Ill., on Wednesday, May 11, 1921, thus having reached the age of 83 years, 2 months and 4 days. He is survived by foru sons and four daughters, namely: Mrs. Edward McGinley, Mrs. Lincoln Bryson, Roe, and Robert of Darlington, Mrs. Earl Batchelor and Mrs. Charles Williams of Rockford, Ill., John of Reedsburg, Wis., and Grover of Hawarden, Iowa. There are also twenty five surviving grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The remains were brought to Darlington last week and the funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Lincoln Bryson last Friday afternoon. Many relatives and friends were present to pay their last tribute of respect. The Rev. J.A. Vincent officiated.
Since his wife died, Mr. Williams had made his home with his sons and daughters, who tenderly cared for him until the last. Their grief is great in the loss of one who was so dear.

Siblings for William H. Williams from Kentucky include Elizabeth Ellen Crow/Stuckley (b. 11 Sept 1831 Perryville, Mercer, KY), Susan Williams (b: ~1834 KY), Fanny Williams (b. ~1836 KY), and James Henry Williams (b. ~1837/1741 KY). His parents are Sally/Sarah G. Tolley (b. 1815 Perryville, Mercer, KY; d, 1849 Darlington, Lafayette, WI) and Hutchins John Williams (b. 1801 KY). His parents married in 1830 in Mercer Co, KY. His father was married prior to an Elizabeth Franklin, who died in 1829 and had at least 2 children by her: John Williams 1819-1900, and Mary A. Williams 1828-?). Given the large gap in the birth of John and Mary, Hutchins and Elizabeth likely had other children, but I have not researched that line.
