Obituary:

Frank Stephens, who lived at 722 West Sixth, died this morning at 12:30 o'clock in St. Mary's Hospital. No Funeral arrangements have been announced.

Frank Stephens was born in London, England, June 18, 1870, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs Charles L. Stephens. He came to Canada with his parents when he was 16 months old, and moved to Emporia in 1913. He was married to Mary Alice Craig in Council Grove in 1896. Later he was married to Maud Vermillion, and she died September 6, 1950.

He is survived by two sons, William C. Stephens, Tenino, Wash., and Clarence R. Stephens, Olympia, Wash.; five daughters, Mrs. Elva Foster, Santa Rosa, Calif., Mrs. Francis D. Barnes, Dodge City, Mrs. Richard H. Evans, 822 Lawrence, Mrs. Caroline E. Irvin, Missoula, Mont., and Mrs. Lois L. Evans, Oakland, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Rosie Stubbs, Turlock, Calif.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Vera May Sponable, 735 West Sixth; and two step-sons, Wayne M. Vermillion, Gallup, N. Mex., and Cecil Vermillion, Natchez, Miss.

He was a member of the First Christian Church.
