1831∼Noah Wike, the son of David and Polly [Diel] Weik, wedded Belinda "Malinda" Caroline Bisanar on 24 Feb 1859 in Caldwell, North Carolina.
Noah, a Farmer since the age of 17, was conscripted as a Private in Company C, 18th Infantry Regiment North Carolina on Aug. 20, 1862 at the age of 32; taking him away from his pregnant wife & 2-year-old daughter, Emma; his son, Sidney A Wike, was then born in November.
Noah Wike was killed during battle, Company C, 18th Infantry Regiment North Carolina, on May 3, 1863 at Chancellorsville, Virginia. He was one of 13,460 Confederate Casualties of the "Chancellorsville Campaign".
