Daddy grew up in Jackson, TN before moving toWhitehaven, and was a current resident of Hernando, MS. He was a WWII Veteran who served his country proudly in the Air Force, and was part of the crew that pulled gliders across the English Channel on several missions during D-Day. After coming home from the war he joined his fathers business, Success Roofing, and then he started his own company DeSoto Redi-Mix. He was a very active farmer raising crops and cattle under the name Circle R Farms.
He was a part of many businesses and organizations in the mid-south such as Mid-South Bible College, AgriCenter International and the Mid-South Fair. Other things that daddy loved to do were golfing, going to St. Louis Cardinal games and hunting with family and friends.
Daddy was a member of First Evangelical Church for 52 years. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Monday, September 9 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. followed by funeral services at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 10 at First Evangelical Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
