Gloria Dale Reid, Our mother left this earth on November 17, 2007 to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior. She leaves her husband of 64 years, William (Bill) L. Reid, Jr. She was the daughter of Lillian Terry Harrison and John Gibson Harrison. She also leaves one son, Bill Reid, III (Marcelyn), and three daughters, late Dinah House, Jeanne Strange (John) and Jan Mahony (Edmund) and six grandchildren Bryant Leslie (Suzanne), Jeremy Reid (Chrissie), Audra House, Reid Strange, John Garrett Strange, Allie Strange and Maggie Mahony; two great-grandchildren, Whitney House and Will Leslie. Mother also leaves one living sister, Claire Smith (Gene). Mother grew up in Robinsonville, MS and then moved to Whitehaven and was a current resident of Hernando, MS. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of First Evangelical Church in Memphis for 44 years where she adored the choir and her Sunday school class. She was a past member of Whitehaven Country Club and current member of Hernando Hills Country Club where she loved golf and had two "Holes in One." She loved the Memphis Tigers men's basketball team and an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. She and daddy enjoyed going to the Cardinal games and had the same seats for 22 years. We will miss you very much. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 20 at 1:30 p.m., with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. at First Evangelical Church, 735 Ridgelake Blvd. Memphis, TN.
