Mrs. F. F. Beasley

Mrs. Emma Guy Beasley, age 82, a lifelong resident of Melfa, passed away at the Dixie Hospital in Hampton on Thursday, April 23, after a long illness. Mrs. Beasley was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Ayres Guy. Her husband was Frank Fletcher Beasley. Mrs. Beasley was a member of the Methodist Church in Melfa.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mt. Holly Cemetery in Onancock by the Rev. Eugene Pollard. Pallbearers were Gerald Davis Beasley, Everett Beasley, Frank Beasley III, John Taylor, Frank Swain, Roy Belote, and Jack Marsh.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Beasley is survived by four children, Mrs. Olivia White of Hampton, Mr. Milton Beasley of Keller, Mr. Roy Beasley of Wardtown, and Mr. Frank Beasley of Melfa; a half-sister, Mrs. Susie Swain of of Melfa; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, also survive.

Arrangements were handled by the Fed G. Mapp Memorial Funeral Home in Belle Haven.
